I. Process Characteristics in Production
Due to inherent factors such as raw material batches, ambient temperature and humidity during production, natural mold wear and process adjustments, the following may occur within the same batch. These are within the normal process range, are not quality defects, and do not affect structural safety or normal use:
- Color variation: slight color differences or uneven color distribution are permitted.
- Dimensional tolerance: a reasonable process tolerance of 2–3 mm applies to length, width and thickness.
- Texture & speckles: surface textures may vary slightly, and small speckles from natural wood powder or plastic particles may be present.
II. Natural Characteristics in Use
As a composite material, WPC has unique physical properties. The following natural changes during use are normal for this category of material and are not quality defects or covered by after-sales warranty:
- Thermal expansion & contraction: products expand and contract naturally with temperature and humidity. Sufficient expansion gaps must be left during installation — see our Installation Guide.
- Slight fading: with long-term outdoor exposure to UV, rain and temperature changes, the surface color will fade slightly, evenly and naturally — a normal sign of material aging.
- Surface wear: under normal use and foot traffic, the surface will develop even wear marks.
III. Warranty Commitment
Within two years of delivery, under normal use conditions, we will provide free replacement or repair if the product exhibits any of the following caused by the material itself or the production process:
- Structural cracking: through-board fracture not caused by external force;
- Severe deformation: significant warping or twisting beyond normal thermal movement;
- Delamination: visible separation or peeling between the surface layer and the core.
The following are NOT covered by warranty:
- Buckling, deformation or cracking caused by failure to follow the Installation Guide (especially failure to leave expansion gaps);
- Uniform, slight fading, minor dimensional changes and natural surface wear resulting from natural exposure and normal use;
- Color, size and texture differences within the reasonable process tolerance range;
- Problems caused by improper installation, extreme/abnormal environments (e.g. chemical corrosion beyond design scope, extreme physical damage) or maintenance not performed as instructed.
IV. Important Recommendations
- Before installation, please read and strictly follow the Installation Guide.
- Purchase all products needed for the same project in a single batch wherever possible, to minimize visual differences between batches.
- Simple regular cleaning keeps the product looking its best.
