What is WPC decking made of?
WANNABES WPC is made from high-density recycled wood fibers and recyclable plastics. Each board contains around 90% recycled and reclaimed materials — the look of timber with far better durability, moisture resistance and weather resistance.
Will the color fade outdoors?
A slight, even and natural fading is normal for any outdoor material exposed long-term to UV and rain. Our co-extruded ranges carry a 360° protective capping that greatly slows fading compared with ordinary composites.
Are color or size differences between boards normal?
Yes. Slight color variation and a 2–3 mm dimensional tolerance are within the normal process range and are not quality defects. For the most uniform look, purchase the full project quantity in one batch.
What expansion gaps must I leave during installation?
Leave 3–7 mm between board sides, 5–8 mm between board ends, and at least 10 mm around the perimeter next to walls or other rigid structures. Joist spacing should be within 30 cm. Full details are in our Installation Guide.
Can the decking be used around pools or by the sea?
Yes. The boards resist moisture, chlorine and salt water, and offer anti-slip surfaces (up to R11 on selected ranges), making them ideal for pool surrounds and seaside boardwalks.
How do I clean and maintain WPC products?
Simply wash with water, a neutral detergent and a soft brush. Avoid strong acids, alkalis or corrosive cleaners. Stubborn stains can be wiped with alcohol or a dedicated cleaner. No painting, sealing or oiling is ever required.
What warranty do you offer?
We provide a two-year warranty covering structural cracking, severe deformation and delamination caused by material or production issues. Natural fading, normal wear and problems caused by incorrect installation are not covered. See our Quality & Use Statement for details.
